Nutrition & Lifestyle Services

Our Nutrition & Lifestyle Services encompasses various programs that focus on health promotion, improving quality of life and preventing chronic conditions. This is accomplished through patient-centered, culturally appropriate, and individualized services such as nutrition, health education, and fitness.

Group Diabetes Education and Support

Our Diabetes Support Group is a great way to join others in a welcoming environment as you learn how to manage diabetes and avoid complications for yourself or a loved one. Learn how fun health education can be, which may include field trips, healthy potluck lunches, gardening and special guest speakers.

Individual Diabetes Education and Support

Patients living with diabetes are also welcome to schedule a one-on-one meeting with a member of our health education team to learn more about their diabetes and receive support in designing personalized strategies to self-manage their diabetes. Contact your provider for a referral.

Registered Dietitians are available (as their schedule allows) to participate in community events such as health talks and health fairs. Call one of our dietitians at the following clinics:

Physical Fitness

Personal Fitness Training

Individual fitness training is available with a referral from your WCCHC medical provider. Your fitness trainer will help you design a plan with achievable goals.

Fitness Classes

There is something for everyone when it comes to our fitness classes. FREE for WCCHC patients and only $1 for others in the community.

KidFit and TeenFit Programs

Our special programs geared toward keiki (ages 7 - 12) and teens (ages 13 - 17) make fitness fun with lively group classes held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 – 3:30 pm in the Fitness Center. A referral is required from the child's primary care physician. Call 697-3558 for details.

Nutrition Services

Our dietitians provide individualized nutrition education which can include everything from meal planning and shopping tips to helping you make sense of food labels. We provide comprehensive nutrition care to all ages and address any special health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, weight management, heart health and more.
