Richard P. Bettini has been President and Chief Executive Officer of the Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center (WCCHC) since 1994. Rich also currently serves as Board Chair of AHARO Hawaii. AHARO is a network of FQHC’s serving rural Hawaiian communities participating in value based care innovations, workforce development, and patient engagement. Rich has been an officer of the Association of Asian and Pacific Health for more than 20 years and currently serves as its Treasurer. In the past, he served two terms on the NACHC Board representing Region IX and was past Chair of AlohaCare. He is a graduate of the UC Berkeley School of Public Health and was a visiting scholar at Stanford University with emphasis on “Diffusion of Innovation”. His given Hawaiian name is Kia‘iikeolamaiola (Guardian for Health and Wellbeing).
