This month, we recognize the 2026 Chuck Wothke Health Career Scholarship recipients and celebrate students pursuing careers in healthcare. The scholarship honors Chuck Wothke, a founding member of the Health Center and dedicated WCCHC Board Member whose commitment to education and healthcare training continues to support students from the Waiʻanae Coast and beyond.

We also recognize the contributions of Colleen Hanabusa, former U.S. Representative and Hawaiʻi State Senate President, and her lasting connection to the Waiʻanae Coast community. Her support for healthcare access, education, and workforce development continues to be remembered and appreciated.

This issue also includes the 2026 WCCHC Board of Directors Executive Committee, expanded walk-in clinic hours in Waiʻanae and Kapolei, and congratulations to graduates from WCCHC’s medical, nursing, and medical assistant training pathways.
