Emergency Care
Established in 1975, our Emergency Department has offered medical care for 24 hours, 365 days a year since 1986.
We know that unexpected illness and injuries don't just happen from "9 to 5, Monday through Friday". Established in 1975, our Emergency Department has offered medical care for 24 hours, 365 days a year since 1986. Recognized by the state of Hawaii as a Trauma Support Facility, our Emergency Department is one of only two community health centers in the nation with this capability.
Averaging 24,000 patients per year, our Emergency Department is housed in the beautiful new Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Emergency Medical Services Building, which opened on July 17, 2018. With 16 exam rooms and 24-hour laboratory and imaging services, our skilled emergency medicine physicians are fully equipped to diagnose a variety of illnesses and provide acute interventions to resuscitate and stabilize our patients.
We invite you to watch this beautiful 6-minute video produced by Makaha Studios with highlights from our March 10, 2018 event celebrating the completion of construction on our Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Emergency Medical Services Building. The video captures the essence of our Health Center's purpose and passion to improve the health of the communities we serve.
